ATTACS ON ISRAEL AND THE JEWISH PEOPLE – SLAVONIC EUROPE and its PARTNERS condemn in the strongest possible terms the violent inhuman attacks of 7 October 2023 against Israel and the Jewish people

SLAVONIC EUROPE condemns in the strongest possible terms the violent inhuman attacks of 7 October 2023 against the Israeli people and the insidious sanguinary invasion of Israel killing and wounding hundreds of civilians, capturing women and children and destroying land and cities.

SLAVONIC EUROPE, a Czech-Slovak western Slavonic initiative based on the values of Jan Hus, Jan Ámos Komenský and Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, stands by the State of Israel and the Israeli people, whose lives, statehood and democracy are under cruel attack from its Palestinian neighbours.

Violence, hatred, hostility and distrust originate in ignorance and lies. The founding father and first president of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Garrigue MASARYK, coined the phrase: “PRAVDA VÍTĚZÍ – TRUTH PREVAILS”. Antisemitism – and nowadays antiisraelism – is intentionally based upon some of the biggest lies in the human history. We have to fight them! Truth is humanity.

We wish Israel, many of whose citizens are of Slavonic origins, courage, determination and success in the defense of their people, democracy and statehood in the days, weeks and months to come.
