After short introductory remarks by the President of the SLAVONIC EUROPE Organisation, Mr. David CHMELIK, the Deputy Permanent Representative BULATOV gave a welcome address underlying the importance of this Slavonic cultural initiative in Brussels and wishing to SLAVONIC EUROPE all success on its future way of realisation.

As one of the special artistic highlights of the evening, a belcanto concert has been offered, performed by the Bulgarian belcanto-soprano Anita TODOROVA singing one of the world’s most famous opera arias – the ‘Song to the moon’ – “Měsíčku na nevi hlubokém” from the opera Rusalka from the Czech composer Antonín DVOŘÁK (1841-1904).

The event gave a unique opportunity for new contacts and various discussions – bridging in this loose framework East and West.
